HALF HEAVEN, away from the races for more than seven months started her three-year-old campaign in fine fashion defeating state-bred fillies and mares in a NW-1X condition allowance. The David Cassidy and Edward Lipton owned bay filly last raced on Oct. 15th breaking her maiden over the turf. Returning to the races and the turf, Half Heaven survived a steward's inquiry regarding the stretch run before being posted as the official winner. Ridden by Richard Migliore for trainer Gary Contessa, the three-year-old daughter of Regal Classic was bred by co-owner David Cassidy. A full field of 10-state-bred fillies and mares went to the post for the 1-1/16th mile affair, which was run over the Widener turf course.
Half Heaven wins!
