It has come to my attention that many of you have been posting messages at various chat rooms voicing your upsets and complaints about your personal situations regarding "The Rat Pack Is Back". I can really relate with your concerns and would like you to know the following.
I did everything reasonably possible to avoid the closure of the show. Now, it seems that there is another show- a review- that has neatly taken the Rat Pack's place. No one was more surprised by this than me. Be assured that I am doing all that I can to clear up the confusion, but matters at this point are largely beyond my individual control.
Please know that I will continue to search for a home for "The Rat Pack Is Back" and when I have found one, I'll do my very best to give you a show deserving of your continued support.
Thank you.
Love, David

A Note From David.
To all of you who have purchased tickets or arranged your travel plans around the show, I am so sorry that "The Rat Pack Is Back!" has been forced to close. I am personally devastated by this turn of events and want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support.
Love, David.

To my friends and fans,
Apparently something I said in my most recent concert was misunderstood by some fans whom I thank for coming to the show. Being back home near where I was born and raised, was an overwhelmingly emotional experience for me, which I hope you can understand. What I tried to convey was that I have chosen to take my music and career in a different direction for the near future and to focus on 'The Rat Pack Is Back!', the original theatrical production that I created and launched in Las Vegas. After 3 successful years there, the show began touring all over the country to rave reviews. It has been at the Mohegan Sun for multiple weeks over the last few years, where the show will return with me appearing in it from October 26 through November 6, in its pre-Broadway performances.
My last concert of this year, performing my hits which I have been doing now for over 30 years, will also be at the Mohegan Sun, on Saturday, October 22, just days before 'The Rat Pack Is Back!' opens there.
The show will then be going to a fabulous theater in the Broadway district of New York in mid-November. I will be performing in the show every night at least through some time in January '06 and perhaps beyond. I will be performing the greatest music of 'The Rat Pack Is Back!' era, which has been my dream my entire life.
Details on the performances and special ticket opportunities will be posted here as soon as they are available, hopefully by next week. I genuinely look forward to seeing you there! Forgive any confusion.
My love to all,

A Note From David
I hope that everyone is safe after the horrible natural disaster Katrina came through the southeast. People have been trying to find out if we're okay, and fortunately power is back on, and we suffered no damage to our home, to us or to our animals. We hope you were all as lucky. If not, I am truly sorry and please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.

To those of you who are truly my fans,
Thank you for your thoughtfulness and kindness during these trying and sad times. Please know that your care and concern have not gone unnoticed and are deeply appreciated. Many of you have written to ask about my mother and I'm pleased to say that she seems to be doing a bit better. She is out of the hospital and we have made a lot of progress in providing for her care. Doctors, social workers, and my mother's long-time and devoted friends have all shown genuine concern for her well-being.
Sadly, however, there are a few people who have gone out of their way to publicly make malicious statements about me and my family with disregard for the truth. Even more tragic is the fact that there have been eyewitness reports that some of these same individuals have gained unauthorized access to my mother's apartment and have taken many of her most prized and personal possessions. I am very troubled by these destructive acts and they are now in the hands of the proper authorities. I thank those loyal fans who have brought this shameful behavior to my attention.
Seeing a parent you love suffer from the debilitating effects of dementia is terrible. I realize, however, that even in the most trying circumstances there is a lot to be grateful for. Last week, when I flew to LA to be with her, my mother and I reconnected in a way that I thought was no longer possible. I love her very much and, on behalf of my mother, my family and myself, I thank you for your continued support and respect for our privacy.
Love,
David

To my friends and fans around the world,
My heart goes out to those of you who have been directly impacted by the horrific events in London. The world has become a very dark place. I hope that my recent visit to the UK brought a little joy into your lives and I want to thank you for all of your support.
My family joins me in wishing you all well and in the hope that normalcy will return sooner than later.
Peace and love,

A Letter From David
I want to thank all of my wonderful fans both in the UK and the US, who have been so supportive. The UK tour was a great success and I loved every minute of it.
Unfortunately, the weather wasn't very cooperative and, apparently, one or two Welsh fans did not understand my American sense of humor when I told them how beautiful their country was because of all of the rain, and how I admired them for their smiles and kindness despite the grey skies. In tribute to their great attitude in such perpetually dismal weather, I jokingly said that I would slit my wrists if I had to live there, and I didn't know how they did it. Clearly, the media,in its inimitable fashion, took that comment out of context, with the tabloid Sun starting the uproar, and my words blew faster and farther than any rain.
I'm sure that most of you know how much I appreciate your support over the years and I hope to continue to see you at my shows and to hear from you online. Thanks a lot.
My best,
Date?
Hi!
Welcome to my official website. Now that I'm back on tour, this website has become my home away from home, so thanks for taking the time to stop by. I have a lot of people, past and present, to thank for helping me with this website. But mostly, I want to thank YOU! There are so many of you out there who take the time to visit my website, send me birthday cards and letters, and come to my shows. It's become clear that YOU deserve to have more up to date information and feedback from me.
So, here are lots of never before seen pictures and features we put together just for you! We've tried to give you everything you asked for... or at least more of what you wanted. I hope you'll join me in making this website a place to have a blast! We want to hear from you so send your email as soon as possible to the "team".
Also, check out my "Then and Now" t-shirts, hats and coffee mugs on the SHOP Page. We think they're pretty cool, and we hope you do too! It's been really nice to look out there at my concerts and see you wearing the T-Shirts we're doing, and if you want, you can order them right here.
I hope I see all of you out there on the road. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your support! I'm having the time of my life, and I couldn't be doing this without you. I also want to thank you for supporting Sue with KidsCharities.org. She's told me how much help you've been by emailing and telling your friends. Till next time...
God Bless,
September 2001
Fans have been kind enough to ask about David's safety in these trying times, and he is happy to say that he and his family are safe and healthy. "My heart goes out to those who have been injured or perished, and to the families and friends of all who have been affected. We must join hands and hearts during these very trying times."

To Everyone Around The World
There was a time in Los Angeles in 1992, when riots burned and destroyed a good part of the city in a cruel act. Sue Shriffin and I wrote a song together titled "Stand And Be Proud", and donated it to the City of Los Angeles for hope and inspiration. It was a positive step that we took to encourage others to rebuild and take pride in the city that was our home at that time.
Many people came together and gave their heart, soul and money to record "Stand And Be Proud". Our Executive Producer, Bob Ezrin assembled over 1,500 voices to sing this song. I would like to offer this song and its lyrics to anyone in need of hope and inspiration.
Sue and I wish all of you health, happiness, peace and compassion in this time of sorrow. My heart goes out to those who have been injured or perished, and to the families and friends of all who have been affected. We must join hands and hearts during these very trying times. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

To My Loyal UK Fans
I want to thank you for your patience and support over the last couple of months while tickets for the purported bookings of arena-type concerts that I was alleged to be performing in the UK were being sold. Thanks to those of you who spent your hard earned pounds to see me. Finally, after spending a great deal of time and money, I am pleased to tell you that your justice system works! The High Court in London has ordered the promoters to take all necessary steps to cancel the concerts, which means that you should now be able to have your ticket money refunded.Further, I am doubly pleased to tell you that I will be performing in some limited engagements in more intimate settings where you can actually see and hear me and I can feel closer to you. We will be announcing those dates shortly.
I will be in your wonderful country the last week of September visiting many of your best known television and radio shows and I'm sure you'll see me pop up in local publications. In the meantime, you can see me on television in the beginning of September on the 8th, where I perform a duet with Hearsay. We had a blast and look forward to working together again soon.
We announced, right here on my website, that I have signed with Universal Music in the UK and wanted to let you know that my first CD on that label is due on October 2, called "Then and Now".
Lots of love and can't wait to see you in the Fall.
David

Dear Fans, Friends and Supporters:
I'm writing this letter in an effort to explain the difficulties I've been having for the past number of years in regard to companies or individuals who have been illegally licensing, selling and profiting from products that they are not entitled to sell. In addition, I've never been compensated, nor has my family, nor many others who deserve to be compensated (record companies, songwriters, photographers, musicians, etc.)
Many of you who have been fans of mine and have bought my records, seen my shows, and purchased merchandise have voiced your unhappiness about not having access to material(s) that you may want for your collections. I understand your frustration, however, I have survived over the past 33 years as a professional, and the only way for me to continue to survive as a performer and entertainer is to be able to have people be accountable for licensing or using my name or likeness.
Please don't misunderstand. It is not my intention to ever deny people access to materials that are legitimate and legal, but also be clear that bootlegging or misrepresenting ownership is stealing. These are profiteers who have, without my consent, for the past three decades profited illegally, and without compensation to me.
With the enormous expansion of the Internet over the past five or six years, it is impossible, without your help and support, for me to continue to police and legally try to prosecute, get accounting from, or discover these individuals' locations. Therefore, I ask you all to put yourselves in my shoes. If someone were selling photos, magnets, t-shirts, or recordings of you and your family, and were making money doing so, without their permission or approval, would you think this was fair?
My request to you is very simple. Understanding what is right from what is wrong, what is legal from what is illegal, and what is fair and what is stealing is to be determined by each one of us as individuals when deciding to participate in the selling and purchasing of any such materials.
I ask you to do the right thing. Do not support these people and their actions. I continually feel blessed to have so many of you care about what I do and support me as you have. There is a lot of new product that I've been working on for an upcoming CD, and there is a lot of cool stuff available on my website. I hope you like the evolution of my website. Without your insight and feedback, it couldn't be now what it has become - a real link from me to you. Your thoughts, messages, and ideas, have been extremely helpful in guiding the team at DavidCassidy.com to make this site work for you and for me.
I thank you for your love and support, and I can't wait to see you, wherever you are in the world, on tour in the near future! I mean soon!
God Bless,
David

Hi All:
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of my fans for their support and patience waiting for the CDs Buddha apparently promised to release. I know that some of you are disappointed about their change of heart, but please understand that this was not my decision. I would like to let you know I didn't stop the release, and it appears that my contractual dispute with Arista has affected Buddha's decision to not release these CDs. Those recordings mean very much to me, and I hope they still mean that much to you. I want them and myself to be treated with the utmost care and respect, regardless of any contractual disputes. As Buddha has never contacted me, the artist, I have no way of knowing what they had, or had not, intended to do in the future.
Now, the good news is that I am getting ready to record again, and you can expect that a CD with some new and old songs will be released in the not too distant future. I'll let you know first! In the meantime, I hope to see you at some of my concerts. I've seen the requests you've asked for from the web site, and my song list reflects some of those choices you've made. I'll be all over the country for the next year. The dates are here on the web site and will be updated as new shows are added.
Again, I love you for all of your support and hope you know how much it has meant to me in the past, and how much I need you now more than ever.
God Bless,
David

A scan of a hand written message appeared on David's website. It reads:
Dear Friends in "Net" Land -
I am using this way of speaking to you, to thank you for all your wonderful thoughts and support of me. You have no idea how much it has meant to me and to my family. I have said it many times that without you (my fans) I would be pumpin' gas... or much worse.
I need your help now more than ever. I'm in a sort of war or battle every week at radio to get them to play my new single "NO BRIDGE", and the good news is that I am on the R & R charts at #30 this week!!
See the scan here.
