David's Doodle is being auctioned on eBay to benefit NF, Inc. an organization dedicated to providing support to individuals and families affected by neurofibromatosis (NF). Auction finished May 18th and sold for US $407.57

David's TV project

David announced at his concert on May 9th that 4 shows have been recorded. It is called Ruby and the Rockitts (spelling?). It's about a band that goes out singing covers of other artists.
Ryan is doing the set decoration for the show, Shaun is the writer and producer and David and Patrick are set to star in the show. David and Patrick will be singing in a recording studio together.

New CD

Live In Concert CD available on May 19th, 2008. Recorded at Glasgow's Clyde Auditorium in April 2002, this new release includes the original DVD and a new audio CD of the concert.

Sue Shifrin-Cassidy, wife of actor/singer David Cassidy, has authored The World's Greatest Email, a collection of funny, though provoking and inspiring Internet correspondences. In this most recent interview, she discusses how she researched the book, tackles Spam, Scams and Urban Legends and reveals how her famous hubby can't walk and chew gum at the same time.

Ken Mansfield, once the manager of Apple records, has released a new book titled 'The White Book: The Beatles, the Bands, the Biz: An Insider's Look at an Era'. This book is a memoir of the 1960s and 70s that delves into his life and his unique partnership with the Beatles. It's also about the music industry and the musicians of the era. Ken devotes a whole chapter to David.

Ken Mansfield said of David: "he is one of the most talented artists I worked with and definitely the nicest."
(He had).."the most incredible laugh I have ever heard from any human being."

Ken shares his memories of working with David in the Summer of 1978. Ken also kindly let me use some pictures from his book. Read the interview with Ken here.

In a recent NZ interview David said: "There's a new CD in November",.... and right now "I'm on my way to LA, where my brothers and I are producing a pilot for a network TV show."

David on Biography channel July 18th.

In the biography of actor Sal Mineo, at approximately 25 mins into the show, David featured. David talked about meeting Sal when he was very young, and talking about drums. (Sal had had to learn the drums for a part he played in a movie.) David was fascinated. Sal later sent David a drum kit and there began a life long passion with musical instruments.

The Shirt

David Cassidy wore a unique shirt at the House of Blues on June 9th. The shirt was made by Silvia, a German fan. Silvia made three shirts, one she gave to David for his birthday on April 12th last year whilst she and Jane were in the UK for the REWIND tour. Jane and Silvia have their own shirts but both agree that the shirt looks much better on David!

SEX, DRUGS AND THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY David Cassidy, star of the 70's The Partridge Family, has done it all. On the heels of his new book, Could Be Forever: My Story, David reflects on his wild days in the 70's which he now describes as a 'sexual playground'. When David toured Australia in the '70s, a few of those girls found their dream of getting close to their idol come true. David is reflecting on his wild times in Australia and drug binges that almost saw him pack it all in. As David reveals 'I never became a drug abuser, I found myself thinking: 'You stop or you die'.

David Cassidy was this week's guest (Feb 17th, 2007) on "Saturday Night Oldies," a radio show on WABC 770 AM, New York City. David spoke about his upcoming concerts in NJ and also the CD to be released in Target stores on Feb 25th. David said he was pleased with the CD and that Beau thought it was cool! David also spoke about the Beatles and his early acting career.
